Costco Recalls – Current List, Updated Monthly

Costco has a dozen-plus active product recalls right now, ranging from Arctic Zone coolers with a choking hazard to a Salmonella recall on the deli meatloaf.

Every active recall is in the table below with the date, the reason, and what to do. I update this page monthly against the official CPSC, FDA, and USDA FSIS databases.

Costco doesn’t send every member every notice. If you’ve bought anything on the list, stop using it and take it to any warehouse for a refund. You don’t need a receipt.

Jalapeño Peppers at Costco Business Centers

Two separate regional recalls hit 5-pound bags of fresh jalapeño peppers in August 2026, both over possible Salmonella. Neither is a nationwide warehouse recall. Both are limited to Costco Business Centers, not regular warehouses.

The first covers item #514606, sold July 13 to August 5, 2026 at the Dallas and Stafford Business Centers in Texas. Supplier Coast Tropical flagged the peppers, and Hardie’s issued the voluntary recall with the FDA.

The second, announced August 6, covers 5-pound bags from Todd’s Quality Tomatoes at the Orlando Business Center in Florida. If you bought either, do not eat them and return them to Costco for a full refund.

Red’s Steak Cilantro and Lime Burritos

Item #1375342, flagged in a USDA FSIS public health alert on July 29, 2026, for an undeclared egg allergen. Some packages labeled as burritos were found to contain a different product inside.

The affected 10-count cartons were produced June 19, 2026 and shipped to Costco distribution locations in Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota. This is a public health alert rather than a full recall, but the risk is real if you have an egg allergy.

Arctic Zone Titan Pro Coolers

Costco item #1872184, sold nationwide in March 2026. A small, powerful magnet in the lid latch can fall out if the cover over it wasn’t sealed properly at the factory, and a loose magnet that size is a serious swallowing risk for kids.

Stop using the cooler and call California Innovations at 1-888-413-2665 for a free replacement latch kit. This one’s a repair, not a return, so you keep the cooler.

Giovanni Rana Beef and Burrata Ravioli

The 32 oz packages of “Rustic Beef Sauce & Creamy Burrata Cheese” ravioli went out with shrimp ravioli inside instead. Best-by dates run May 14 to June 25, 2026, and the packages carry establishment number 44870 inside the USDA inspection mark.

This one only shipped to Costco stores in Maryland and New Jersey. If you have a shellfish allergy, this is the most dangerous item on the list, the label gives you no warning at all.

Costco Deli Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes

Item #30782, sold March 2 to March 13, 2026 across more than two dozen states. A seasoning supplier, Griffith Foods, flagged that the milk powder in the mix might carry Salmonella.

The FDA bumped this to Class I in May, its highest risk tier, meaning there’s a reasonable chance of serious illness or death from eating it. The sell-by dates are long past, so this is only a problem if it’s still in your freezer.

32 Degrees Heated Socks

Sold in medium, large, and XL at Costco and on Costco.com from August 2025 through March 2026, for $30 to $46. Over 200,000 pairs are affected, and customers reported actual burn injuries, which is what triggered the recall.

The socks run on a rechargeable battery pack. During hard activity, heat plus friction plus moisture and pressure combine into a burn risk. Stop wearing them and return them to Costco, or call 32 Degrees at 833-997-2452.

Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Sauté Pans

Only the 2-piece set (10-inch and 11.5-inch pans) with UPC 0-80313-08131-6 is recalled, sold August 1, 2021 through March 27, 2026.

Roughly 740,000 sets are out there across Costco and other retailers.

The metal cap holding the handle to the pan can pop off and eject while the pan is heating. E Mishan has logged close to 100 incidents and at least one injury.

Given the volume sold and how long these were on shelves, this is the recall most likely to be sitting in someone’s kitchen right now. Stop using them and return them for a full refund.

Bellevue and Oaklynn Canopy Beds

Sold October 1, 2024 through February 20, 2026. The canopy structure can collapse when the bed gets moved, which is an obvious injury risk given where these sit.

Stop using the bed and contact Samson International, the retailer, to arrange a refund or replacement. They’re working with the CPSC on this one, so go through them rather than the warehouse.

Ajinomoto Shoyu Ramen Bowl and Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice

Two separate frozen items, same problem: Ajinomoto found possible glass fragments in select lots. The Shoyu Ramen Bowl is item #1081557 with best-by dates from May 20, 2026 to July 6, 2027.

The Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice is item #749182, bought December 3, 2024 through February 20, 2026, best-by November 8, 2025 to January 12, 2027.

No injuries reported on either. Costco sent the notice out voluntarily even though the USDA didn’t require it. Those best-by dates stretch well into 2027, so these can legitimately still be in a freezer.

Mini Beignets with Caramel

Sold January 16 to January 30, 2026. Some packages went out with chocolate hazelnut filling instead of the caramel on the label, which means undeclared tree nuts.

Harmless if you don’t have a tree nut allergy. Potentially life-threatening if you do, and nothing on the package warns you.

Matrix Treadmills

Models T30, TF30, T50, and TF50, purchased June 2021 through May 2025. Costco identified a mechanical fault that can create a fire or injury risk during use.

Stop using the treadmill and follow the remedy in the Costco recall notice.

This is a five-year sales window on a big-ticket item, so a lot of these are still in basements and garages.

Hot Spring Spas Highlife Collection Rotary Jets

The recall covers certain hydromassage rotary jets, not the whole spa, across multiple item numbers sold October 2022 through October 2025. The jets pose a hair entanglement risk.

Stop using the affected jets and contact the manufacturer for free replacement inserts. The repair doesn’t require draining the spa, which is the part most owners assume it will.

Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG

Item #1879870, UPC 196633883742, the green bottle with purple foil and a purple label. Sold for about $8 at Costco stores in IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, SD, and WI from April through August 2025. F&F Fine Wines has ten reports of bottles shattering, including one laceration injury.

This is the one recall on the list where you should not bring the product back. CPSC says don’t even try to open it, discard the bottle in your household trash, then contact Ethica Wines for instructions on getting your refund from Costco. Photograph the bottle before you throw it out.

Anker Power Banks

Two models. The Anker Power Bank 10K 22.5W (Model A1257) was pulled over a lithium-ion cell from a single vendor, Anker called the malfunction odds minimal but recalled globally anyway.

The PowerCore 10000 (Model A1263), sold June 1, 2016 through December 31, 2022, is the more serious one: the battery can overheat and cause melted plastic, smoke, or fire.

Bowflex 552 Adjustable Dumbbells

The weighted plates can dislodge from the handle mid-lift, which is exactly as bad as it sounds if you’re pressing overhead.

Stop using them immediately and return them to your local Costco for a full refund.

Recalls stay on Costco’s own page for 120 days after the notice, then move to the past recall notices archive. CPSC keeps the full history public, so anything older is still checkable there.

Where to Check for New Costco Recalls

The four official sources are Costco’s own recall page, the CPSC, the FDA, and USDA FSIS. Check Costco first, since it filters everything down to what’s actually sold in the warehouses.

Costco Product Recalls page. costco.com/recalls.html lists every current recall with the Costco item number, purchase dates, and what to do. This is the fastest check when you’re trying to match something in your kitchen or garage to a recall.

CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission). cpsc.gov/Recalls covers non-food items: appliances, tools, electronics, kids’ products, furniture. You can filter by retailer or search “Costco” to see everything sold there.

FDA. fda.gov/safety/recalls handles packaged food, supplements, cosmetics, and medical products. Search by brand or by “Costco” to find affected items.

USDA FSIS. fsis.usda.gov/recalls covers meat, poultry, and processed egg products. This is where the ravioli, jerky, and meatloaf recalls show up first.

The fastest single check for most people is the Costco page. It’s shorter than any of the federal databases and it only shows what applies to Costco members. If the item’s not there, it hasn’t been recalled at Costco.

What to Do If You Own a Recalled Costco Product

Stop using it, then return it to Costco for a full refund. You don’t need a receipt or the original packaging.

The order of operations is short:

➊ Confirm the recall details match. Check the item number, model number, or best-by date against the recall notice. Not every unit of a product is always affected, since most food recalls are limited to specific lot codes and most CPSC recalls are tied to specific model numbers or manufacturing dates.

➋ Stop using the product. For food, don’t eat it. For electronics, unplug and don’t charge. For appliances or tools, put them somewhere the recall injury can’t happen. This is the step people skip most often when the risk sounds mild.

➌ Read the remedy on the notice. Most recalls have you return the item to Costco for a refund, but some (the Stanley Jr. lead paint recall, the Costco cooler latch, the Hot Spring Spa jets) send you to the manufacturer for a replacement part instead. Following the manufacturer route is usually faster on partial-item recalls, since Costco would just refund the whole thing.

➍ Return it to any Costco warehouse. Any warehouse works, not just the one you bought it from. Bring your Costco membership card. Refunds go back to your original payment method when possible, or to a Costco Shop Card if the payment method isn’t on file anymore.

Costco Recall Refund Policy

Costco refunds recalled products in full, with or without a receipt, and even if the item is opened, used, or partially consumed. The recall refund runs on top of Costco’s regular return policy, not against it.

A few practical points on the process:

➤ No receipt needed. Costco can look up purchases tied to your membership number. The bigger the purchase, the further back that lookup usually goes. If you paid with a Visa or debit card linked to the membership, they’ll find it.

➤ Opened or partially used is fine. Food that’s been opened, appliances that have been used, clothing that’s been worn are all still refundable if it’s the recalled item.

➤ Some recalls tell you to discard, not return. The Kirkland prosecco recall is the current example. CPSC says discard the bottle in your trash (it can shatter if handled), then contact Ethica Wines for the refund path. In these cases, take a photo of the discarded product before you toss it. The manufacturer usually needs proof.

➤ Refund method. Card payments get refunded to the card, cash gets cash, Costco Shop Cards get credited back. For older purchases where the card is expired, Costco defaults to a Shop Card credit.

How Costco Notifies Members About Recalls

Costco emails members who bought the recalled item, mails a physical letter for higher-risk recalls, updates the recalls page on costco.com, and sometimes posts a notice at warehouse entrances. The email is the fastest of the four, but only reaches you if the item was bought on your membership.

The catch: if a family member used your card without their own account, or you bought the item as a guest, or the recall covers stock that was never scanned to your specific membership, you may not get the direct notification. That’s the case where a monthly check of this page or the official Costco recalls list catches what the email missed.

You can also sign up for CPSC recall email alerts on cpsc.gov or FDA alerts on fda.gov, and filter or scan for Costco in the subject line. For most people that’s overkill. Checking one page monthly does the job.

How Often This Page Is Updated

I check the Costco, CPSC, FDA, and USDA FSIS databases at the start of each month and update the table. When a major national recall drops mid-month (like the Arctic Zone cooler in June), I add it within a few days rather than waiting.

Bookmark the page and skim the top row of the table when you visit. If the “Last checked” date at the top is more than 30 days old, cross-check against Costco’s live recalls page for anything newer.
